It’s no secret that we’ve all gone a little crazy over the Woolworths Discovery Garden promotion.
Aussie mums have all become suckers for all things mini, whether it’s miniature groceries, Lion King Ooshies or Disney tiles. We love them all equally and unconditionally. It was only a matter of time before someone would find a way to score bonus mystery pots from Woolies.
One clever (and thrifty!) Aussie mum, named Alana, shared her discovery in the Woolworths Little Garden/ Discovery Garden Facebook Page. She figured out a way to score 11 pots for $40!
Collecting 11 pots would normally set you back around $330, as the promotion offers 1 pot for every $30 spent. This mum found a loophole, though.
A simple loophole
Alana broke down the process for all other gardening collectors follow her lead.
“For anyone wanting a quick easy way of getting little garden pots… If you order online you actually get a bonus pot for every 10 fruit/veg items in the cart,” she explained.
“I ordered 36 single carrots, 34 mandarins and 3 lemons spending only $30.42 and got 8 plants (73 fruit/veg items = 7 pots $30 spent = 1).”
There’s no stopping this mum!
“I would have done more but 36 is the maximum total of any single fruit and veg item online and I didn’t want to start going up to higher-priced items, so I will just do another couple of $30 orders,” she said.
“The bonus still applies if you do it the $15 way too – but much better value to just buy single items and get the bonus ones that way.”
Having her sights set on the garden collection, Alana is sharing her carrots and mandarins around.
“My whole family are being gifted carrots and mandarins today!”
“I’ve done multiple orders between $30-$40 receiving anywhere from 8-11 pots at a time from purely buying single-priced items only and nothing else in my cart.”
