Attention Melbourne: a VIP guest is coming and he’s bringing the magic!
Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer will be there and his eight mates, and all the Elves. There’ll be thousands of magical lights, a wonderland of snow leading straight to Candy Cane Lane and an adventure of festive proportions not seen …. ever! And ready to welcome guests will be the one and only first couple of Christmas, Santa and Mrs Claus. You’ll know you have arrived when you see the sleigh parked just outside!!
This is Melbourne’s Christmas Wonderland – an immersive, walk-through experience where every moment of Christmas has been beautifully brought to life by the creators of the award-winning Sesame Street Circus Spectacular and Jurassic Creatures – The Event Touring Company. Every jingle, every bell, every HO HO HO will create the most wonderful memory, and remind visitors of why the magic of Christmas is still the most prolific of all.
While no-one has actually visited Santa’s Castle Workshop at the North Pole, Santa did share his blueprints exclusively, which means visitors to Melbourne’s Christmas Wonderland will be able to walk through the spectacular green doors and see where Christmas comes to life every year. Santa makes about 2.5 billion toys for children across the world, so the workshop is very busy!
Santa has also sent some of his ELVES down-under for the experience, and visitors will be able to meet his trusted team. However, they won’t stop working so don’t be surprised to hear, “Elf 17 we need dolls dresses in the workshop, Elf 21 we need spare wheels for the bikes, Elf 15 please contact Candy Cane Lane security.” Some of the Elves even carry Santa’s famous LIST – his list of presents, and maybe, names of who has been naughty and nice!
The North Pole Post Office will be open for special letter posting, with express delivery guaranteed direct to Santa; and Mrs Claus will be on hand to help little authors.
Mrs Claus’s Bakery and Candy Land will be open and creating her world famous Gingerbread – and she’s happy for visitors to make their own! When she takes a break from baking, Mrs Claus will host sessions at Storytelling Corner to tell some delightful tales to the littlies
Next – it’s Rudolf’s Barnyard to meet the most famous reindeer of them all – Rudolf the Red Nosed!! and his fellow world-fliers, Dasher and Dancer, Keep an eye out as they all just may appear on stage!
Did you know that Santa’s sleigh is the fastest vehicle ever! On Christmas Eve, Santa has to travel around the world to deliver presents, which means his sleigh has to move at a speed of around 2,896 kilometres per second, wow! That means those reindeers really are magical! So make sure you have cameras ready to take lots of photos!
This is just a little of the magic of Melbourne’s Christmas Wonderland. The interactive walk-through adventure features everything that’s most loved about Christmas, including multiple themed Christmas zones and live entertainment for all ages including and in addition:
