Deny it all you want, but every parent gets a strange sense of satisfaction from creating perfect Instagram-able bento lunchboxes.
It’s sort of one of those clubs that you accidentally join and then it consumes your life. We all started off this parenting gig thinking lunches won’t need an Arts degree. Yet here we all are, at 10pm, finding the perfect angle and filter to share our picture-perfect bento lunchbox masterpiece with the online world.
Most parents will spend months or even years experimenting with different brands and versions of bento lunchboxes before figuring out which of them is the one.
Thanks to Biome, we’re able to report back after trialing a bento lunchbox. We’ve found every parent’s one and only bento lunchbox, the one that’ll keep you from looking for any other.
After trialing the Go Green 5-compartment lunchbox, we can safely say, it ticks all the boxes!
The perfect bento lunchbox
I’ve tried multitudes of different bento lunchboxes and they all achieve their basic function of allowing me to pack a variety of foods for my kids. The Go Green lunchbox takes lunch preparation to a whole new level, though.
After 2 weeks of using the lunchbox daily, it is safe to say that even the juiciest fruits and the runniest yoghurts won’t venture out of their compartments. each section is sealed to perfection and is completely leak-proof. It even has a lock on the outside to seal it when not being used, just to make sure things stay put!

Having 5 various-sized compartments also means you can get away with the one lunchbox for the whole day – no extra containers and no extra plastic waste. Everything can go straight into your Go Green lunchbox! An example of what I packed in one day is: a grilled cheese sandwich, mixed berries with yoghurt, sliced ham, Belvita biscuits and chopped carrots.
One particularly handy feature is that the lid can detach for meal times.
The nitty gritty
The Go Green lunchbox is free of all the bad stuff we all keep hearing about. It is lead free, BPA free, leach free and phthalate free.
On top of this is can also be recycled at the end of its life!
