I spent an evening watching the Legends in Concert at Crown – it was everything I expected and so much more.
Legends in Concert ticked all the boxes for a good night out and is definitely the ultimate girls’ night out. The atmosphere oozed for excitement and was the cause of endless clapping and toe-tapping bliss.
This concert is a hidden gem that younger crowds really need to tap into. While there were a few younger adults scattered throughout the audience, the majority seemed to be middle-aged and up. Regardless of any of the variables like age and gender though, every single person there was mesmerised by the show.
True legends of every kind
The crowd went wild for Johnny Cash’s low manly voice – the ladies in particular were completely mesmerised!
Elton John sported a glamorous outfit that perfectly reflected his iconic, eye-catching wardrobe.
Diana Ross showcased a range of gorgeous dresses that wooed us all.
Then along came The Village People. They had every bum out of its seat. Even the most timid of audience members were dancing and clapping. There’s just no fighting those Village People.
Lady Gaga even made an appearance, bringing us a lively and energetic performance. Gaga is normally somebody I imagine my adult children to enjoy, yet she blew me away. Her dancers and band were equally as amazing – they were dressed head-to-toe in stunning costumes. The moves they busted were second-to-none.
Melbourne or Vegas?
Legends in Concert truly transported us to Vegas.
Saving the King for the very end, Elvis definitely did not disappoint. With classics like Suspicious Minds and Viva Las Vegas, he had us all bedazzled.
An extra special touch was the screens revealing clips of the real-life legends performing. The clips were often perfectly synchronised to match the performances. A truly nostalgic way to enjoy the performers on stage, while paying tribute to the original legends.
Legends in Concert was simply incredible. Whether you’re planning a girls’ night out or a date-night, Legends has you covered.
